ဆင့္ပြားၿပီး ေတြးလိုက္ရင္ေတာ ့ အသင့္အတင့္ေကာင္ းတဲ့ ေဆာင္းပါးတစ္ပုဒ ္ပါပဲ။
ဒါေပမယ့္ ပုဂၢိဳလ္ေရးေတြ မေရးေစခ်င္ဘူး။ ေဆာင္းပါးတန္ဖို းက်ပါတယ္။
ဦးေမာင္ေမာင္စိန္ ေဒၚျမင့္ျမင့္ခင ္ရဲ႕ ေစာင္မျခင္းကို ခံရတဲ့သူေတြကေတာ ့ သေဘာက်ၾကမွာေပါ့ ၊ သူတို႔ရဲ႕ Professional မဆန္ပံုေတြကို ေတြ႕ဖူးရင္ေတာ့ ဘယ္ဆက္ဖတ္ခ်င္ပါ ့မလဲ။
ဥပမာ – ေဒၚျမင့္ျမင့္ခင ္ဆိုရင္ လူတိုင္းကို သူ႔တပည့္ထင္တယ္၊ Mother knows everything လုပ္ၿပီး သူမ်ားစကားဆိုရင ္ ဘယ္ေတာ့မွ ေလးေလးစားစား နားမေထာင္ဘူး။

ဒါက ျမန္မာႏိုင္ငံဆရ ာ၀န္အသင္း ေဆြးေႏြးပြဲတစ္ခ ုမွာ ကၽြန္ေတာ္ေတြ႕ဖူ းတာပါ။ အဲဒီေန႔က ေဆြးေႏြးတဲ့သူကလ ဲ သူ႔ဘာသာရပ္မွာ ဆရာတစ္ဆူပါ။ ေဒၚျမင့္ျမင့္ခင ္ ပိတ္ၿပီးလဲ ေျပာလိုက္ေရာ ဘယ္သူမွ ဘာမွဆက္မေျပာေတာ ့ဘူး၊ ပြဲက ေအးစက္သြားတယ္။ လူတိုင္းက မာမီႀကီးရဲ႕တပည္ ့မဟုတ္သလို လူတိုင္းလဲ မာမီႀကီးထက္ မညံ့ပါဘူး။
ဦးေမာင္ေမာင္စိ န္ရဲ႕ Administrative ဒါဏ္ကို ခံခဲ့ရသူေတြလဲ မနည္းေလာက္ပါဘူး ။ Clinician တစ္ေယာက္အေနနဲ႔ေ တာ့ မႀကံဳဖူးလို႔ မေျပာတတ္ပါဘူး။ တစ္ခုပဲ ဦးေမာင္ေမာင္စိန္နဲ႔ အလုပ္တြဲလုပ္ခ်င ္တဲ့သူ၊ အထက္အရာရွိအျဖစ္ ဦးေမာင္ေမာင္စိန္ ကို ေရြးခ်င္တဲ့သူမ် ား ရွိရင္ လက္ညိဳးေထာင္ေစခ ်င္တယ္။

My Comment: I still remember one incident. I was just a 3rd MB Studentin Medical Unit.Prof. DMMK asked a question why Total and Diff WBCcount was done on a Hepatitis pt. She asked the House Surgeons, Part 2 block and Part 2, Part 1. When no one dared to answer, (may be some of them knew but dare not speak up in front of her) she looked at us, 3rd MB students and (pre)remarked that we were also useless as our seniors and would not be able to answer her question.I am very lucky, the night before only I had read the De’ Gruchi’s Clinical Hematology in Medical Practice, at the foot note there was written about that.

I started to answer, “In De’ Gruchi’s it is written that if leucopaenia, it shows the virus infection…” Before I finished answering Professor DMMK shouted at me with the very loud voice, ” ကိုကိုႀကီး ၾကည့္ေန နင္လုိေကာင္မ်ိဳးက စာေမးပြဲက်မႇာ… you used to read up to the unnecessary minor details in
foot notes, if you continue to read and answer like this, you will fail in the
examinations. You need to present properly like this, “Causes of leucocytosis
first….than only Leucopoenia.”

I felt very sad and angry with her attitude towards me.  Although she could not break my mind or determination at that time, later only could change my ambition and abandoned the dream of becoming a Physician.

When the son of her friend, Head of Microbiology, from our junior class, answered wrongly, she said softly with kind words, “As a distinction Candidate should not answer like but give a better presentation, if you answer like this…it is better.” Actually she corrected his wrong answer in front of all of us.

Why? Cronyism? Skin colour? Religion? Family background?

Note: Even at 3^rd. MB she knew me well. 5 times LYC (living in the same town, Mandalay.) IMM LYC 3 times and on the 3^rd. time she did not agree
with my answer but I could attract the other examiners by arguing with her. 1^st MB Jr & Sr 10 Grade 5 and 1 Grade 4. 2^nd MB Anatomy Gr 5 Physio
she was my ext examiner in Distinction Viva. She had a heart to tell,” ” ကိုကိုႀကီး ၾကည့္ေန နင္လုိေကာင္မ်ိဳးက စာေမးပြဲက်မႇာ” although I had given the right answer, in front of my seniors, HSs (HOs), Assistant Surgeons (MOs), ALs and patients.

She was declaring her friend’s son, in 3^rd MB Jr (in that yr, our Jr class was rushed to reduced the teaching period and pushed up together with our class.) is a Distinction Candidate?

Iheard that Dr. Shwe Nyan (Rakhine/Buddhist, younger brother of Dr. Min Nyan, Anatomy Dpt., who was denied PASSING Medicine MSc entrance) was also neglected by UMMS. After he became senior experienced dr in his ward only, UMMS declared that…, “this time I will choose you in the Surgical enterance exam”, PROUD SHWE NYAN refused to sit the exam and requested to transfer to MOH. I heard that once MSc Surgeon complained to the superiors that Dr Shwe Nyan was operating all kind of diseases
without a specialist degree! The superior officer laughed at him and told him
that it was up to DrSN, if he had ability, let him do…..

လြန္ခဲ့တဲ့ႏွစ္ပတ္က ဆရာမႀကီး ေဒၚျမင့္ျမင့္ခင္ ဖုန္းဆက္ပါတယ္။ ဆရာဦးေမာင္ေမာင္စိန္ အေတာ္ေနမေကာင္း ျဖစ္ေနတယ္။ ေဆး႐ုံ တက္ေနတယ္။ ဒါေၾကာင့္မို႔ အကူအညီလိုတယ္လို႔ ဆိုပါတယ္။ သက္ႀကီးရြယ္အို ဆရာ၀န္မ်ား က်န္းမာမႈ ေစာင့္ေရွာက္အဖြဲ႕ရဲ႕ ဥကၠ႒ျဖစ္တဲ့ ၈၇ ႏွစ္ ရွိၿပီျဖစ္တဲ့ ဆရာမႀကီးဟာ ကိုယ့္ထက္ငယ္တဲ့ သက္ႀကီးဆရာ၀န္မ်ားရဲ႕ က်န္းမာေရး အတြက္ အခုထက္ထိ အားႀကိဳးမာန္တက္ ေဆာင္ရြက္ေနတာဟာ ဘယ္ေလာက္ ေလးစားစရာ ေကာင္းပါသလဲ။ (အခုေခတ္ က်န္းမာေရးစရိတ္ ႀကီးလာတာဟာ အရင္က ေအာင္ျမင္ခဲ့တဲ့ သက္ႀကီး ဆရာ၀န္ႀကီးေတြ အတြက္ေတာင္ ၿပႆနာ ျဖစ္ေနပါၿပီ။)

သူ႔ရဲ႕တပည့္ေတြက မာမီႀကီးလို႔ ခ်စ္စႏိုးေခၚတဲ့ ဆရာမႀကီးဟာ လြန္ခဲ့တဲ့ ၇ ႏွစ္စသိခါစက ကြၽန္ေတာ္ ေလးစားစြာဆက္ဆံမႈကို  ၾကည့္ၿပီး ကြၽန္ေတာ့္ကို သူ႔တပည့္လို႔ ထင္ေနခဲ့ပံုရပါတယ္။ ကြၽန္ေတာ္ဟာ ေဆး-၁ က ေက်ာင္းၿပီးၿပီး အလုပ္သင္ဆရာ၀န္အျဖစ္ မႏၲေလးေဆး႐ုံႀကီးမွာ ဆင္းရတဲ့အခ်ိန္မွာ ဆရာမႀကီး ပင္စင္ယူသြားတာ ၃-၄ ႏွစ္ေလာက္ ရွိသြားပါၿပီ။ ဒါေပမယ့္ သူ႔ရဲ႕ေကာင္းသတင္းကေတာ့ ေဆး႐ုံႀကီးမွာ ပ်ံ႕ႏွံ႔ေနတုန္းပါပဲ။ ေဆးပညာထူးခြၽန္တာ၊ Professional ပီသတာ၊ လူနာေတြကို ဆင္းရဲ၊ ခ်မ္းသာမခြဲတာ၊ တပည့္ေတြကို ေက်ာသား၊ ရင္သား မခြဲတာေတြဟာ ဆရာ၀န္ေတြၾကား၊ သူနာျပဳေတြၾကားသာမက ေဆး႐ုံအလုပ္သမားေတြၾကားပါ ပင္စင္ယူၿပီး အေတာ္ၾကာအထိ ဂုဏ္သတင္း ပ်ံ႕ႏွံ႔ေနတုန္းပါပဲ။

အခုေနာက္ပိုင္း ဆရာမႀကီးနဲ႔ သိကြၽမ္းလာရေတာ့ ဆရာမႀကီးမွာ ထူးျခားခ်က္တစ္ခုက ကိုယ့္ကိုယ္ကိုယ္ ဟန္ေဆာင္မထားတဲ့၊ လုပ္ယူမထားတဲ့ ယံုၾကည္မႈ ရွိတာပါပဲ။ ကိုယ့္ဘ၀မွာ ကိုယ္ျဖတ္သန္းခဲ့တဲ့ ေကာင္းေသာအရာေတြ၊ လုပ္ေဆာင္ခဲ့မႈေတြ၊  အထူးသျဖင့္ သူ႔ရဲ႕ Profession အတြက္ ယံုၾကည္မႈရွိတဲ့ ပံုပါပဲ။ သူနဲ႔ ဆက္ဆံသူေတြဟာလည္း သူ႔ဆီက ယံုၾကည္မႈေတြကို မွ်ေ၀ခံစားႏိုင္ၿပီး ေကာင္းက်ဳိးကို ၿဖစ္ေစပါတယ္။

ဆရာမႀကီးကေျပာပါတယ္။ “ကိုေမာင္ေမာင္စိန္ဟာ ယူတို႔ဆရာေတာ့ မဟုတ္ဘူးထင္တယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ အလြန္ျဖဴစင္ပါတယ္” လို႔ ဆိုပါတယ္။” ကြၽန္ေတာ္သိပါတယ္ ဆရာမႀကီး။ ဆရာမႀကီး သြားသတင္းေမးရင္ လိုက္ခ်င္ပါတယ္။”

ကြၽန္ေတာ္တို႔ ေဆးေက်ာင္းသား ဘ၀က ေဆး(၂)ရဲ႕ ခြဲစိတ္ပါေမာကၡနဲ႔ ဌာနမွဴး ေဒါက္တာဦးေမာင္ေမာင္စိန္ ဆိုရင္ ေဆးေက်ာင္းသားတိုင္း ဖိန္႔ဖိန္႔တုန္ေအာင္ ေၾကာက္ၾကပါတယ္။ အရင္ေနာင္ေတာ္ေတြရဲ႕ စကားနဲ႔တင္ 3rd MB ေလာက္ကတည္းက သူ႔ကို ေၾကာက္ၾကပါတယ္။ Final Part II ေရာက္ရင္ သူနဲ႔ေတြ႕ရင္ ေအာင္ဖို႔က ၅၀/၅၀ စီပဲ။ က်ဖို႔ကမ်ားတယ္။ ဆရာႀကီးက ပညာေတာ္တယ္။ လူနာေတြအေပၚ ေစတနာေကာင္းသေလာက္ အေနတည္တယ္။ ဒါေပမယ့္ စာေမးပြဲစစ္ရင္ ဘယ္သူဘာေၿပာေျပာ ဘယ္သူ႔မ်က္ႏွာမွ မေထာက္ဘူးတဲ့။ ေဆးေက်ာင္းသားဘ၀က “Lady’s hand / Lion’s heart” ဆိုတဲ့ ခြဲစိတ္ဆရာ၀န္ ျဖစ္ခ်င္ခဲ့တဲ့ ကြၽန္ေတာ့္အတြက္ ဆရာႀကီးဟာ ကြၽန္ေတာ္ရဲ႕ Hero ပါပဲ။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ကံဆိုးခ်င္ေတာ့ Part II မွာဆရာလက္သံေျပာင္တဲ့ Short Case မွာမွ တည့္တည့္တိုးပါတယ္။ ဒါကြၽန္ေတာ့္အတြက္ ဆရာစိန္ကို ပထမဆံုးနဖူးေတြ႔ ဒူးေတြ႕ေတြ႕တာပါပဲ။ သူေရွ႕ခံုမွာ စထိုင္ခါစက ဒူးေတြေတာင္တုန္တာ စားပြဲခံုေတာင္ လႈပ္ေနပါတယ္။

ဒါေပမယ့္ ကံေကာင္းစြာနဲ႔ သူေမးတာေတြ အားလံုးေျဖႏိုင္ပါတယ္။ ေမးတဲ့တစ္ခ်ိန္လံုး သူတစ္ခ်က္မွ မၿပံဳးသလို ဘာမွလည္း မေဟာက္ပါဘူး။ အားလံုးေျဖၿပီးေတာ့မွ ဆရာစိန္က “မင္းေျဖႏိုင္သားပဲ။ ဘာလို႔ ဒီေလာက္ ေၾကာက္ေနတာလဲ။ ဆရာ၀န္လုပ္စားမယ့္သူကို မတတ္ဘဲ အေအာင္ေပးလိုက္ရင္ ငါလူနာေတြကို ဒုကၡေပးသလိုျဖစ္ေနမွာေပါ့” လို႔ တစ္ခြန္းပဲေျပာၿပီး ထထြက္သြားပါတယ္။

ဒုတိယတစ္ႀကိမ္ ဆရာစိန္နဲ႔ ေတြ႕တာက ကြၽန္ေတာ္ဘြဲ႕ရၿပီး ေလးႏွစ္အၾကာ စီးပြားေရးလုပ္ေနတုန္း အေသးစား ခြဲစိတ္မႈလုပ္ဖို႔ လူနာအၿဖစ္ သြားၿပတာပါ။ သူကလည္း မမွတ္မိသလို ကြၽန္ေတာ္လည္း ဆရာ၀န္လုိ႔ မေျပာခဲ့ပါဘူး။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ခြဲစိတ္ခါနီးမွာေတာ့ သူနာျပဳေတြကိုေတာ့ ေၿပာလိုက္မိပါတယ္။ ခြဲခါနီး ခါး႐ိုးဆစ္က ထံုေဆးေပးေတာ့မယ္ဆိုေတာ့မွ ဆရာစိန္ လက္အိတ္စြပ္ၿပီး ၀င္လာပါတယ္။ “မင္းဆရာ၀န္ဆိုတာ ဘာလို႔မေျပာတာလဲ။ ငါခြဲစိတ္ ခမယူဘူး။” ကြၽန္ေတာ္ ရင္ထဲလႈိက္ခနဲ ျဖစ္သြားပါတယ္။ ကြၽန္ေတာ္တို႔ ေဆးပညာဘြဲ႕ယူတုန္းက ရြတ္ဆိုခဲ့တဲ့ ဟစ္ပိုကေရးတီး က်မ္းက်ိန္လႊာမွာပါတဲ့ က်င့္၀တ္ကို ခြဲစိတ္ခံုေပၚအထိ ဆရာႀကီး ေလးစားလိုက္နာေနတုန္းပါပဲလား။ အဲဒီေနာက္ ၁၅ ႏွစ္၊ အႏွစ္ ၂၀ ေလာက္ ကြၽန္ေတာ္ ဆရာႀကီးနဲ႔ ထပ္မေတြ႕ေတာ့ပါဘူး။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ဆရာ၀န္ေတြ အေၾကာင္းေျပာရင္ ဒီလိုက်င့္၀တ္ကို ခြဲစိတ္ခံုနားအထိ ေလးစားလိုက္နာတဲ့ ဆရာ၀န္ႀကီးမ်ဳိးေတြရွိတာကို မၾကာခဏေျပာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။ ျမန္မာျပည္ ေဆးပညာသမိုင္းမွာ အထင္ကရတစ္ခုျဖစ္တဲ့ ခိုင္ရႊန္းလဲ့ရည္ျပႆနာျဖစ္တုန္းကေတာင္ ကြၽန္ေတာ့္သတင္းေထာက္ေတြ၊ အယ္ဒီတာေတြကို ဆရာႀကီး အေၾကာင္းေျပာၿပီး ဆံုးမရပါေသးတယ္။ ေလးစားယံုၾကည္ထိုက္တဲ့ ပေရာ္ဖက္ရွင္နယ္တစ္ေယာက္ ပီသဖို႔ဆိုရင္ ကိုယ္နဲ႔ဆိုင္တဲ့ အတတ္ပညာကြၽမ္းက်င္ဖို႔အျပင္ က်င့္၀တ္၊ စိတ္ေကာင္းေစတနာရွိဖုိ႔ လိုတာေၿပာျဖစ္ပါတယ္။

ဆရာစိန္နဲ႔ တတိယတစ္ႀကိမ္ေတြ႕ေတာ့ ဆရာႀကီး ေ၀ဒနာေၾကာင့္ စကားသိပ္ မေျပာႏိုင္ပါဘူး။ ဒါေပမယ့္ ဆရာႀကီးနဲ႔ေတြ႕ဆံုခဲ့တဲ့ ႏွစ္ႀကိမ္မွာ ဆရာႀကီးေျပာခဲ့တဲ့ စကားေတြ ျပန္ရြတ္ျပၿပီး ေလးစားယံုၾကည္မႈေတြ ၿပန္ေျပာျပေတာ့ ဆရာႀကီး ရႊင္လန္းလာပါတယ္။ ဆရာႀကီးရဲ႕ ဘ၀တစ္ေလွ်ာက္လုပ္ခဲ့တဲ့ လုပ္ေဆာင္မႈေတြဟာ ဘယ္ေတာ့မွ အခ်ည္းအႏွီး မျဖစ္ပါဘူးဆိုတာ ကြၽန္ေတာ္ေျပာျပခဲ့ပါတယ္။ ေလးစားယံုၾကည္မႈဆိုတာ ခင္မင္ရင္းႏွီးတာ၊ ေက်းဇူးရွိတာ၊ တန္ခိုးအာဏာရွိတာ၊ ေငြေၾကးခ်မ္းသာတာေတြနဲ႔လည္း မဆိုင္ပါဘူး။ ဖန္တီးယူလို႔မရသလို ဟန္႔တားလို႔လည္း မရပါဘူး။ တစ္စံုတစ္ဦး၊ တစ္စံုတစ္ေယာက္ေၾကာင့္လည္း ပ်က္ျပားမသြားႏိုင္ပါဘူး။
