Najib goes for knee surgery from The Stars
KUALA LUMPUR: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has checked into Hospital Kuala Lumpur for a minor surgery on his left knee.
Najib was accompanied by his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor and their children as he arrived at the Royal Ward at 10pm last night.
He said the surgery, set for today, would not take long to heal and that he was expected to start work three days later.
In Kedah on Thursday, members of the press were told about the injury suffered by Najib when he took a penalty kick in a futsal game during the Youth Day celebration in May.
Najib last injured himself while playing in the last match for football legend, the late Datuk Mokhtar Dahari, in the late 1980s. He was then the Youth and Sports Minister. – Bernama
