And regarding their cousin of (La) Wa TINE YIN THARRS…In 1967 after the notorious Ant-Chinese Riots in Rangoon where few hundred Burmese Chinese were massacre…Communist Chinese were angry. Bama Communist Party’d Pekin Radio announced (I heard with my ears) 100 thousand Chinese Communist soldiers disappeared (Taw Kho) with all the rifles and ammunition. They changed into Ba Ka Pa uniform…became Wa soldiers. Later Wa seperated from Ba Ka Pa…So Mandarin Chinese speaking Wa army was born…All got Tine Yin Thars. Their instructors are from Chinese Military, they have TV, Radio and newspapers in Chinese.

Actually I knew the original La Wa (s). Wa Sawbwar’s second son, Sao Ne Win, sat side by side with me in St. Peter’s High School. New Tine Yin Thar Wa(s) and Wa Army I saw and knew were different from him. Some Tine Yin Thar Wa(s) came to see me with Myanmar Passports. Could not speak Myanmar, told me that they were from China, pay some money to Wa to get Hmat Pone Tin and easy to get Passports.

Look at the history of Panthay‘s in Myanmar…Nasr al-Din is identified as the ancestor of many Chinese Hui lineages in Yunnan’s Panthay Hui population as well as in Ningxia and Fujian provinces. The widspread presence of Islam in Yunnan is due to Nasir Al-Din and his father Sayyid Ajall.[1]

Nasr became Yunnan’s governor after his father, the first governor of Yunnan, died.[10] served in his office from 1279-1284.[11] He was sent to participate in the 1284 Mongol invasion of Burma, which caused his term as governor to end.[12]

FYI my wife is a Panthay and my youngest brother’s wife is also Panthay.

TQ U Aung Tin and Ko Maung Khin, we could become partners… as if we are strikers and good midfielder in the Political football arena. U Aung Tin started an excellent posting shoot a goal, Ko Maung Khin followed up with another and I scored again. So Muslims of Myanmar win with 3 goals.
