Dr Thein Lwin: “Students’ demands for educational and policy reforms are just and needed.”

Dr Thein Lwin:
Students’ demands for educational and policy reforms are just and needed.

Hat’s off to Dr Thein Lwin, education adviser to the NLD!

“I support the demands of the students for genuine educational reforms. That’s why, I have made up my mind to help and support students’ attempts at negotiations (with the regime). Students’ demands are in full accord with democratic process and ethos. They are also genuinely needed for changes in education.

This is what I believe. Based on my own belief, I am standing with the students. If my stand is judged to be in conflict with the NLD’s disciplinary policies that’s solely up to the NLD party. That’s the party’s decision.

My decision is clear: I am standing in solidarity with the students because their demands are just and needed.”

A spent force versus a fresh force: go with the latter.

Racist and misguided 8888 Generation Group Student Leaders – in their 50’s – and equally racist and clue-less NLD’s political dinosaurs depress many of us die-hard opponents of the 53-years old military dictatorships in different guises.

In sharp contrast, the new generation of student, farmers, ethnic minority leaders, Burmese urban dissidents are increasingly becoming a source of inspiration, defiance and hope.

Dictators will be destroyed by the oppressed.

Dictators and managers of dictatorial systems are like snake-charmers. Dictators specialize in extreme oppression, total control and ruthless exploitation of people/population. Snake charmers manipulate, control and exploit snakes.

In the end both loose their lives at the hands or by the poison of the subject people/animal.
