Myanmar: From isolation to leader

My comment: LEADER of the BIRDS of the (same) feather that flocks together in a glass cage (house)

Verdinand Robertua, Jakarta | Opinion | Thu, November 14 2013

At the close of the East Asia Summit in Brunei Darussalam, Myanmar officially accepted the chairmanship of ASEAN 2013-2014. Myanmar’s leaders proved to the world that a state’s foreign policy can change an isolated country to an open and democratic country. The transition to a bloc leader requires some crucial measures on the part of Myanmar.

Chandra Muzaffar: Asean must urge UN to end persecution of Rohingyas in Myanmar

Dr Chandra Muzaffar. By RASHVINJEET SINGH BEDI

PETALING JAYA: Asean can persuade the United Nations to end the persecution of Rohingyas in Myanmar, said International Movement for Just World (JUST) president Dr Chandra Muzaffar.

“Asean has a major role in persuading the five members of the Security Council if they want the UN to act on the atrocities in Myanmar.

“Their voice carries more weight as Myanmar is part of the Asean family,” he said at a recent forum ‘Plight of Muslims in Burma in the 21st Century: An Initiative for Solution and the Way Forward’ organised by the International Institute of Advanced Islamic Studies (IAIS) Malaysia.

Dr Chandra said that the UN would be duty-bound to protect the Rohingya if the Security Council adopted a resolution that says they were victims of genocide.

There is only ONE solution to stop the HATE SPEECHES and Hate Mongers in Myanmar

June 19, 2013

There is only ONE solution to stop the HATE SPEECHES and Hate Mongers. To force the Myanmar Gov to stop them. Only if they forbid the Islamophobic Hate Speeches and accept the EQUAL RIGHTS of the Muslims, we would be able to stay peacefully.

Last night my friend from Singapore told me that when he called U Aye Lwin..UAL told him that all they have done R like pouring water into sand as no media report them. EMG just print the negative news…..

During the Hitler‘s Nazi time ALL Germans hate the Jews. But once after the WW2…all changed because of the new concept of gov…

Where is OIC and its Muslim leaders? All abandoned the “Amar Makruf Nahi Mungkar” or Commanding right and forbidding wrong

March 24, 2013

USA, UN, Turkey and India and some Human Right minded Western NGOs have voices their concerns about the ongoing GENOCIDE on Muslims of Myanmar.
Where is OIC and its Muslim leaders? Are you all not ashamed or cowards?
You all failed to help the Rohingya Refugees and Myanmar Muslims in your country and are now silent and failed to condemn the Ethnic Cleansing of Muslims in Myanmar.
Are you all too weak or too greedy or too poor to just get the left over crumbs of the Myanmar Generals and Ex-Generals. Do you all have no faith on Allah that all Rezeki (Rozi) comes from Allah?
Even very rich Muslim countries in ASEAN are scared that their Gas and Oil Projects would be effected if they condemn Myanmar and they all keep quiet.
Do you all forget the Islamic teaching of “al-amr bi ‘l-maʿruf wa ‘n-nahy ʿan al-munkar” (Amar Makruf Nahi Mungkar in Malay, Brunei and Indonesian languages) or Commanding right and forbidding wrong?
This is the Islamic doctrine mentioned in the Qur’an which is the base of the Islamic institution of hisbah and forms a central part of the Islamic doctrine for all Muslims.
Sura 3.110, Sura 3.104, Sura 7.157 and Sura 9.71
