When the religious of the different religions refuse to coexist, when they accrue unto themselves the exclusive ownership of spiritual truths or geographic spaces, when rulers see in religions (and in the credulous religious) a means to temporal-power, societal-violence proliferates, wars ensue and tragedy strikes.

Last week Myanmar banned the latest issue of ‘Time’ with its cover-story on the violent creed of Ashin Wirathu, the Burmese monk deemed the ideological leader of the country’s anti-Islamic terror campaign.

The Rajapaksas have followed suit; probably because the ‘Time’ article makes a passing reference to our own Wirathus and their political masters: “In Sri Lanka, where a conservative, pro-Buddhist government reigns, Buddhist nationalist groups are operating with apparent impunity, looting Muslim and Christian establishments and calling for restrictions to be placed on the 9% of the country that is Muslim”[i].

If the government is sincere, arrest back the U Wai Rathu who is giving HATE SPEECHES against Muslims

U Wai Ra Thu is a BUDDHIST TERRORIST pretending to be a monk who is fair on all.

But he was a CRIMINAL responsible for mass murder in Kyauksae anti-Muslim riots.

He is not a politician but Bama Government release him to use for another attack on Non-Buddhists esp Muslims.

You have reminded me of my secret thought since young: “Whether Allah would punish me for not been a Muslim if I were not born to the Muslim parents, but born into the Buddhist parents or Christian etc, From that I extended my thoughts that my friends and neighbours should not be punished by God or hate by me just because they are born into the parents with different faith.
