Source_Interview with Former Prime Minister of Malaysia: His Excellency Tun Dr Mahathir about Myanmar Politics from Perdana Leadership Foundation Library interviewed by Dr Abdul Rahman @ Ko Ko Gyi with the Pseudonym, Dr San Oo Aung
Introduction
We easterners look up at H.E. Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad with respect and praises and sometimes even jealously because Burma lack a good leader with vision and ability like him. H.E. Tun kindly allows Burma Digest to tap his Intellectual legacy and had given us some valuable advice on how to attain economic social and political progress of future Burma. Burma Digest hereby thanks Tun for being kind and generous enough to provide and share his huge invaluable thoughts, ideas and advises. Allowing Burma Digest to interview in spite of very tight schedules, meetings and interviews with world renowned journals and Broadcasting services and heated political battle he is facing at home means a great honour to us and he really had taught us, the younger generation of Myanmar Intellectuals to understand the various aspects of politics. It is a great gift for the present Myanmar Burmese scholars and thinkers of both side of the political divide. We hope Tun’s great intelligence and advice could help us to get a lasting peaceful resolution that is acceptable and beneficial to all the parties; present SPDC Military Junta, all the opposition groups and all the ethnic and religious minorities.

Yes, Tun Dr. Mahathir, you are absolutely right in saying, “Muslims in the country should be concerned about the plight of those in need of assistance to avoid the possibility of a deviation in their faith. If no one looks after them and they are in difficulty, they may become attracted to those who offer them aid.”

KUALA LUMPUR, April 24 — Datuk Seri Najib Razak promised Malaysians today that his administration would never censor the Internet. Speaking at the 1st Malaysian-ASEAN Regional Bloggers Conference here this morning, the Prime Minister declared that Malaysia has one of the most liveliest and one of the freest, “if not most free”, blogospheres in the world.
The government does not fear bloggers but wants to be part of them and know their views even if it is constructive criticism, says Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak. “I believe this relationship will be an important relationship based on mutual respect. We might not agree all the time but we cannot be disagreeable.

Dear TDM, you are a genius in talking politics. Most of the Malaysians sometimes even failed to read between the lines of your speech. After reading to what TDM said, if you read between the lines, you can begin to see what Tun really meant! We sometimes need to try to understand what is meant by Tun, something that is not spoken explicitly or openly or directly but with the hidden agenda. Don’t ever think everything you read or heard literally. Learn to read between the lines of Tun’s words_ Dr M: Forget our roots if we want to achieve 1Malaysia by Hazlan Zakaria. After then, read the comments below from those who DO NOT understand TDM’s wise words.
