U Thein Sein should immediately arrest hardliners from military and government if he love the country

December 13, 2012

I agree with you ဧရာဝတီသား who wrote in The Voice Weekly.. Now it is seemed as Thein Sein is just a puppet as a PR personality to lie the world and people of Myanmar so that Military could rule and exploit Myanmar forever.

U Thein Sein should just copy the FORMER Senior General U Than Shwe in arresting Ne Win, Khin Nyunt and removing Saw Mg…If he and good Generals combined and remove the hardliners from Military and gov, Daw Suu led NLD and ALL the people of Myanmar including Ethnic Minorities would support him. Myanmar could progress, prosper and peaceful…Do it Mr President arrest the HARDLINERS immediately.

“Dreams” or may be ‘Our aims and objectives” or “Our Visions” or may be more appropriately called “Our goals and objectives” for the year of 2048 AD.

Burma or Myanmar got Independence in 1948. So it is exactly 100 years after it. Let us go to our dreamland now…

Oh! Unbelievable, all have changed; BSPP, SLORC and SPCD all are in history book now. Actually they are only mentioned in the black dark pages of our history books, together with Germany under Hitler, Italy under Mussolini, Uganda under Idi Amin, Cambodia under Pol Pot, Yugoslavia Bosnia Kosovo under Milosevic etc. Ah! Please let me stop looking at the past. Let us forget the nightmare and look at the pleasant present and bright future.

The “most unkindest cut of all” for us is our beloved Myanmar practices Apartheid on its Muslim citizens

April 6, 2011

Some Myanmar elders repeatedly advised me not to “look with the tinted glass” on Myanmar’s discrimination on its Muslims. But they had not suffered and I am the one who felt this “the most unkind cut” in Myanmar.

Yes, I love Burma, Myanmar, Bamas, and Ethnic Minorities etc. I was brainwashed for total 5 months in the Luyechun camps and another 5 months at Phaunggyi, Zaya 56, training for Government officers. Up to now the word, “Taing Pyi hnit Lumyo a twet” or “For our country and our people” words popped up in my mind and even accidently from my mouth, few times, every day. I foolishly thought that even if the government does not wish to send me abroad for further studies, they would have to allow me to attend the LOCAL postgraduate studies.

But dancing with the tunes of anti-Muslim theme songs of Bigot Ne Win, Apartheid Myanmar Professors had done an unkind cut on me.

Some Chinese leaders has no problem that his daughter converted to Christian and even if his grandchild were a gay. For the Buddhists and Hindus, I had seen and read in the newspapers, no problem if Chinese Dieties and Hindu R brought in and put together with their gods’ statues or Buddha’s statue.

Buddhist & Hindus who R vegetarians or just avoids meat would not mind sitting together with their friends eating meat. They could marry and stay together with the spouses from different religion…etc. But MOST although not all the Muslims try to avoid those kind of situation as they know that Islam do not allow. May be they sometimes could not avoid other sins but…NOTE that there is some religious edits in Myanmar that gambling or lotery under the NON-ISLAMIC government is permissionable!

Minority rights

The term Minority Rights embodies two separate concepts: first, normal individual rights as applied to members of racial, ethnic, class, religious, linguistic or sexual minorities, and second, collective rights accorded to minority groups. The term may also apply simply to individual rights of anyone who is not part of a majority decision.

Civil rights movements often seek to ensure that individual rights are not denied on the basis of membership in a minority group.

There are many political bodies which also feature minority group rights. This might be seen in affirmative action quotas, or in guaranteed minority representation in a consociational state.
