In the aftermath of September 11 when President Bush visited the Islamic Center of Washington DC, both to reassure the Muslims in America and to create public awareness against prejudice, he remarked: “The face of terror is not the true faith of Islam. That’s not what Islam is all about. Islam is peace.” Of course, Bush is, first and foremost, a politician and therefore his remarks should be taken with a grain of salt – actually, a lot of salt.

She soon applied for PR status, which was approved in the same year on July 17. So an Indonesian a cook and a cleaner could get PR in about SIX months……For us, although even Myanmar Muslims are treated differently. Actually ALL Foreigner Muslims SHOULD be treated equally in a Muslim country. One of my friend Masters & PhD from Malaysian Government University and stayed in Malaysia for 15 yrs went to Malaysian Immigration to just get the PR APPLICATION forms only. Malaysian Immigration even REFUSED TO give the application form claiming that 15 yr WORKING (with salary), Studying and doing research with the student pass made him not entitle or not eligible for PR. Even those married to Malaysians were allowed to apply after 5 yrs’ visa.

Malaysian Muslims need to travel more, even within the Muslim world just to see its diversity. Muslims all over the world have just as many different cultures and traditions as they do similarities.

What does plurality mean? It just means that we are not homogenous, that we have many different streams among our people, whether it’s ethnic makeup, beliefs or opinions.Being plural is just a statement of fact, not a judgement call on which of these streams are better than the other.
