Imagine this scenario:
“Running with the hare and hunting with the hounds”
Idiom:
If someone is running with the hare and hunting with the hounds, they are trying to support or go with two opposing views, causes or factions at the same time.
But what to do…Muslim members of USDP, NLD and some NGOs need to do like this….Ironically it may be like: “Having one’s cake and eat it too”
(idiomatic) To seek to have two things which are mutually incompatible (such as eating a piece of cake and yet still possessing that piece for future use).
It’s not possible to get your savings and keep the piggy bank intact. You can’t have your cake and eat it too!
Or more polite saying in Burmese: Shint lae shauk thar_Pyar lae swe thar” meaning peaceful co-existence like giving space for the bees to built a hive and leaing the freeway for the squirrel to run.
“Therefore I say that it is a narrow policy to suppose that this country or that is to be marked out as the eternal ally or the perpetual enemy of England. We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.”
A NEW BURMA DEMOCRACY MOVEMENT
By Roland Watson August 3, 2013
The failure of the pro-democracy movement
I’ll begin with an obituary. The Burma pro-democracy movement is dead.
Of course, some people might disagree. Instead, they might say that it is
“over.” The Burma democracy movement isn’t dead, it’s just over, because
it succeeded. Burma is now free and democratic.
He promised to release all the political prisoners at the end of the year BUT never promised not to arrest anymore. Even on the 18.7.13, they alerted the Mingaladon airport for the arrest of Maungmaung Skw because they thought that he was going to return on that day according to his air-ticket.
See this also…Liar Thein Sein must be punished.

Communists, subversives blamed for deadly Myanmar riots
Eleven Media Group Publication Date : 10-04-2013
A senior advisor to the ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party is blaming communists and other subversive elements for the deadly riots in Meikhtila town, central Myanmar last month that left more than 40 dead and 60 injured.
Hardliner Aung Thaung, a well-connected businessman and an industry minister in the previous military government, made the allegations in the latest issue of Thantawhsint news journal.
Special Report: Myanmar gives official blessing to anti-Muslim monks
YANGON (Reuters) – The Buddhist extremist movement in Myanmar, known as 969, portrays itself as a grassroots creed.
Its chief proponent, a monk named Wirathu, was once jailed by the former military junta for anti-Muslim violence and once called himself the “Burmese bin Laden.”
But a Reuters examination traces 969’s origins to an official in the dictatorship that once ran Myanmar, and which is the direct predecessor of today’s reformist government. The 969 movement now enjoys support from senior government officials, establishment monks and even some members of the opposition National League for Democracy (NLD), the political party of Nobel peace laureate Aung San Suu Kyi.
Wirathu urges Buddhists to boycott Muslim shops and shun interfaith marriages. He calls mosques “enemy bases.”
Actually they need to do this now…not only after they lost to NLD.
But if NLD win roughly about 50% of seats only and if USDP and Military seats combined is about 50% they need to form a coalition government if they wish to become a strong government.
If not buying, or forcing the MPs to jump sides could occur and could even MPs blackmailing the ruling party….
Actually if they now give Daw Suu a Vice President and share their power by offering some Cabinet Minister posts to NLD thus effectively forming the Nyunt Paung Asoeya or coalition government….
With the treaty to reciprocate this sharing even after 2015 whether any party wins…
If they do that…the peace and stability will return to Myanmar and definitely will be followed by the rapid and tremendously progress to catch up or could even overtake some ASEAN tigers.
No need to stir up the Amyo Thar Yae or Ultra-Nationalism to discredit NLD and democratic forces to win support and votes in the 2015 election.
