Working out when to exercise in the cold and flu season

NEW YORK, Feb 11 — Sniffles, runny noses and flu-like symptoms can deter, delay and even derail many exercisers just when enthusiasm for that New Year’s resolution is beginning to flag.

Health and fitness experts advise to starve a fever of exercise. But feeding a cold moderately, with a brisk walk, may not be a bad idea.

On April 22, Myanmar President Thein Sein will be honored by the International Crisis Group (ICG) as the recipient of this year’s “In Pursuit of Peace, Prosperity and the Presidency Award” at a gala dinner in New York City.

For a man who was persona non grata in the US until last week, President U Thein Sein has been looking remarkably relaxed in New York City.

Admittedly I met him in the confines of a swanky Manhattan hotel, surrounded by an entourage of advisers and minders, but nonetheless this former stalwart of Burma’s military dictatorship is clearly relishing his rebirth as an unlikely champion of reform.

In Islam, shirk (Arabic: شرك‎ širk) is the sin of idolatry or polytheism, i.e. the deification or worship of anyone or anything other than the singular God, or more literally the establishment of “partners” placed beside God. It is the vice that is opposed to the virtue of tawhid (monotheism).[1]

Within Islam, shirk is an unforgivable crime; God may forgive any sin except for committing shirk.
