Imagine this scenario:
“Running with the hare and hunting with the hounds”
Idiom:
If someone is running with the hare and hunting with the hounds, they are trying to support or go with two opposing views, causes or factions at the same time.
But what to do…Muslim members of USDP, NLD and some NGOs need to do like this….Ironically it may be like: “Having one’s cake and eat it too”
(idiomatic) To seek to have two things which are mutually incompatible (such as eating a piece of cake and yet still possessing that piece for future use).
It’s not possible to get your savings and keep the piggy bank intact. You can’t have your cake and eat it too!
Or more polite saying in Burmese: Shint lae shauk thar_Pyar lae swe thar” meaning peaceful co-existence like giving space for the bees to built a hive and leaing the freeway for the squirrel to run.
I hope my friends would understand me between you and another. And Pathi/Indian mixed blooded issue. I would not support or fight for anyone but wish to work together with everyone.
In politics there is no permanent enemy or eternal friends.
Lord Palmerston (
Henry John Temple). According to wikipedia, he actually said:
“Therefore I say that it is a narrow policy to suppose that this country or that is to be marked out as the eternal ally or the perpetual enemy of England. We have no eternal allies, and we have no perpetual enemies. Our interests are eternal and perpetual, and those interests it is our duty to follow.”

If Non citizens are allowed to vote, 2008 Constitution is NULL and VOID according to the International Law and Myanmar Law.
If Non citizens are allowed to vote, in 2010 election, the election is NULL and VOID according to the International Law and Myanmar Law.
So the ramification is, all those participated in the voting of Constitution and 2010 election MUST BE GIVEN FULL CITIZENSHIP.
IF NOT the present Thein Sein‘s government would become an ILLEGAL GOVERNMENT.
New Constitution must be drawn and New Election must be held urgently.

Communists, subversives blamed for deadly Myanmar riots
Eleven Media Group Publication Date : 10-04-2013
A senior advisor to the ruling Union Solidarity and Development Party is blaming communists and other subversive elements for the deadly riots in Meikhtila town, central Myanmar last month that left more than 40 dead and 60 injured.
Hardliner Aung Thaung, a well-connected businessman and an industry minister in the previous military government, made the allegations in the latest issue of Thantawhsint news journal.

Actually they need to do this now…not only after they lost to NLD.
But if NLD win roughly about 50% of seats only and if USDP and Military seats combined is about 50% they need to form a coalition government if they wish to become a strong government.
If not buying, or forcing the MPs to jump sides could occur and could even MPs blackmailing the ruling party….
Actually if they now give Daw Suu a Vice President and share their power by offering some Cabinet Minister posts to NLD thus effectively forming the Nyunt Paung Asoeya or coalition government….
With the treaty to reciprocate this sharing even after 2015 whether any party wins…
If they do that…the peace and stability will return to Myanmar and definitely will be followed by the rapid and tremendously progress to catch up or could even overtake some ASEAN tigers.
No need to stir up the Amyo Thar Yae or Ultra-Nationalism to discredit NLD and democratic forces to win support and votes in the 2015 election.

Actually I strongly believe that the political drama of Anti-Muslim riots is not aimed to stage the ground for a coup d’état but to brainwash the people to become Ultra-Nationalists and making their supports and votes swing from Daw Suu led NLD to USDP. As Daw Suu has to keep neutral or even if spoken something according to the Human Rights norms, present gov supporters would discredit her as Klara-supporter. If military coup, the sanctions would definitely come back. Now they are trying to stay in power even after “democratic” and “fair election” in 2015.

Not all are convinced: Burmese in Malaysia protest the ongoing offensives against ethnic minorities in Burma (Reuters)
Denial is not just a river in Egypt, Mark Twain once famously quipped. Indeed it seems it is a river in the memories of many international observers now swooning blindly over President Thein Sein and his reform agenda. (more…)
