Why is the world community so quiet over the killings of Muslims in Myanmar?

November 10, 2013

Arab News — Saudi Arabia News, Middle East News, Opinion, Economy and more.

Why is the world community so quiet over the killings of Muslims in Myanmar?

I am surprised to note that even the United Nations is not taking any action to check the brutality of the Myanmar government.

Muslims in Myanmar are being pushed to the wall and a slow-burning genocide is under way. Unfortunately, the Muslim in Myanmar have no strategic role to plan in the grand game of global politics.

That is why; their cries mean nothing to the world. Muslim countries must take action to stop the bloodshed of Muslims in Myanmar.

Why are we waiting for the United Nations to take action?

We must do something on our own.

Statelessness is created by certain states, condoned by a cluster of states

September 26, 2013

Dr Maung Zarni

Statelessness is created by certain states, condoned by a cluster of states.States, a web of interlocking interests and interest-driven bureaucracies, are incapable of acts of compassion, generally speaking.

In the current United Nations System that was created in San Francisco in 1945 the wretched of the earth will find no champion in high places.

A UN-bred friend say the UN itself is a system of sharks, small, big, medium size, growing, shrinking – but nonetheless sharks.

(The current system of country is not the first or the last that is proving its rudderlessness and incapacity to address human sufferings).

So, do not expect sharks to save humans, with no country to go or call home.
