Uneven development stifling Myanmar Global Times | 2013-12-19 By Marie Lall
Anyone arriving today at Mingaladon Airport and driving toward the center of Yangon would find it hard to imagine that just a few years ago Myanmar was an isolated country – poor, underdeveloped and labeled by the US as an “outpost of tyranny.”
At the start of the 21st century there were few cars on the roads. Taxis at that time used to be over a decade old, often with sagging seats and doors that did not shut properly. As things started to change around 2005, there were more cars and the first few mobile phones had made an appearance.

Myanmar’s religious malaise goes online
Myanmar’s infant information culture is helping to spread high-risk Islamophobia, reports
Gerard McCarthy

A FEW weeks ago, I stumbled into a protest on the streets of Yangon, the cultural capital of Myanmar. The march itself was a relatively tame affair, with around 500 people braving the afternoon heat to walk to downtown Sule Pagoda. Despite the calm mood, though, the protest provided a telling glimpse of how an exclusivist anti-Muslim nationalism is mushrooming across Myanmar.

If you want to accuse Muslims as coming in with British Colonialism… Just think a little bit..
India and Burma was the British owned lands, they even combined into one once, they had the right to bring or shift any SERVANTS anywhere…
Why do Bama leaders FAILED TO DEMAND the ruling British before getting Independence that YOU WANT the LAND ONLY not the people on that land?
IF you dare to say that, definitely British would give you the Bama majority areas ONLY as Burma.

Myanmar SEA Games next month. – Filepic
KUALA LUMPUR: National Sports Council (NSC) director-general Datuk Seri Zolkples Embong has advised athletes to be careful of what they consume whilst competing at the 27th SEA Games in Myanmar next month.
There has been much speculation about the conditions and the difficulty in obtaining halal food at the three cities, Naypyitaw, Yangon and Pathein, which will host sporting events during the Games.

“Oppose Islam, the Faith of Animals!
Muslims procreate like rabbits.”(Translated by Dr. Maung Zarni
MYANMAR’S BUDDHIST MONKS INSULT ISLAM WHILE DEMONSTRATING AGAINST THE VISIT OF OIC DELEGATES, ( 15th NOVEMBER 2013, YANGON )
THE POSTER READS AS FOLLOWS: ” OPPOSE THE ISLAM AS IT IS SIMILAR TO ANIMALISM WHOSE BIRTH RATE IS UNCONTROLLED!! “
In Abrahamic religions i.e. Judaism, Christianity and Islam, NO God or Prophet were recorded as ANIMALS or reincarnated as ANIMALS. Just read the Buddhism’s 550 reincarnation of Buddha. So these MONKS should not accuse ISLAM but just read their Buddhist Scripture.

Thank you Mr. Mark Zuckerberg for providing POWER and VOICE to the powerless and voiceless people like me.
I had even wrote to Mark Zuckerberg about this while complaining about the defamatory posts about me. I even wrote to him that if FB authorities do not understand Myanmar, delete all Myanmar posts. If I were killed because of wrong FB postings about me, I had advised my familt to sue FB for few hundred million. After that my complaints were taken care promptly and removed within seconds of my report to FB. TQ FB for caring us.
